The Volunteer Auxiliary at Emory Eastside Donates a Salt Water Aquarium to Waiting Area
May 28, 2010 - The Volunteer Auxiliary at Emory Eastside Medical Center recently donated a salt water aquarium for the renovated Day Surgery and Pediatric Urgent Care Waiting Area. Anxious visitors can now get an immediate dose of relief when they enter these areas. There is a significant amount of growing data in health care that shows aquariums can reduce stress in patients waiting for services, says Kim Ryan, CEO. It is also entertaining for children. We appreciate the Auxiliarys generous gift and their continued mission to make a difference at Emory Eastside.
